Journalism help site

I haven’t posted about a seemingly original idea to add some spunk to the field in a while so here I go. What if there was a site full of tips and tricks that journalists learned during their education or careers. I think we can all agree that at least one lesson comes with every reporting and writing process. New apps, shortcuts, mistakes and successes could all be shared on this forum available for anyone to reference. Whether you’re a student or already working in the field, share the knowledge with others. If you find that a certain type of voice recorder seems to always glitch and not work for you, post about it. If you’re having trouble finding someone to talk to about a story, post about it. Open discussion would be the goal. There are some lessons that just can’t be learned in school. A potential name for this blog could be “Off the Record” or “Not Found in Books”. I know that I would benefit from such a site and I think I could find plenty of fellow journalists who would agree.
